A tiny minigun
by Killbuckets. The World's First CQB Minigun!
The critical
parts of the minigun: The yoke handle, feed chute, and front
iso-mount tab. These parts should be 6mm or 1/4 inch
thick sheet.
This
is the mount for the MP7 Airsoft gun's gearbox and hopup. Any
clone gun may be used, the parts were designed around the Jin
Gong MP7 clone. Note the small slot that properly orients the
hopup and feed. These parts should be 3mm or 1/8 inch thick
sheet.
The
main body bulkheads for the Killbuckets minigun airsoft. The
two discs shown are the barrel mounts. A length of metal
airsoft outer barrel is bolted into one, and the other slipped
over the barrel. Placed a short distance apart inside the main
body of the minigun, they hold the barrel section properly in
line. These parts should be 6mm or 1/4 inch thick
sheet.
Plans
for the Killbuckets MP7 airsoft gun based minigun. Power
source is a
stripped cordless drill motor and transmission. Any cheap model
will do, it only spins the minigun's barrel cluster. A
standard, off-the-shelf 2 INCH diameter rubber ORING is used for a DRIVE
BELT.
The
Killbuckets minigun barrel pack discs, drive motor cover,
delinker front cap. These parts should be 6mm or 1/4 inch
thick sheet. The center tube is made from 1/2 inch i.d. PVC
pipe, this will fit over the airsoft gun's outer barrel, and
spin on it as an axle. Use ONLY
SYNTHETIC
wheel bearing grease from an auto parts store to lubricate
the axle.
For
the minigun's BARRELS, I use a kit of evaporative cooler
replacement tubes. These are plastic, and sold in most
hardware stores. you see them below on the finished
example.

That's right- these
are the finished, final revision prints, ACTUAL SIZED, of the
parts that have made all of these patterns a success for over
four years running.
No Printing
Hassle
Pattern files are
standard jpg format, and easily print from any
computer/printer (see below for a video
demonstration).
Simple Shapes,
Simple cutting:
The Brownings are
basically decorated boxes, the miniguns: decorated tubes.
Parts were all configured for EASY cutting using normal HAND
tools: coping saw, bar clamps, hand drill. If you have a small
scroll saw and an electric drill, you can make any one of the
assemblies in a few short evenings.
Assembly is
EASY
Parts are assembled
using Oatey black ABS cement, sold in the plumbing aisle of
your local hardware store.
ABS bonds set up in
amatter of minutes- you can assemble your whole gun conversion
in ONE evening, easily! Common hardware (this is left to the
builder) in assembly allows customization- go brass,
stainless, ?
